Hi Sue - I'm sure that Stan is flying around in birdie heaven thanking you for all of the wonderful years and birdie treats in the end! It is nice that you had a chance to take care of him - my birdy died several years ago, very unexpectedly, a couple days before christmas. Right after I brought a fresh christmas tree into the house so I can't help but think that it was giving off poisonous gasses that killed him. I haven't done christmas since then, it just reminds me too much of poor little spy (short for spyderman.) But anyways, Stan is chirping happily to you from the great birdy beyond, so you can be happy to know that he had such a happy birdy life!L.
Oh my goodness! That is so sad. I've never heard of a problem with xmas trees though, so I bet it wasn't that. Birds can be extremely delicate. What kind of bird was he? Argh, pets! We love them and then are hearts are broken when they leave us.
I'm so sorry to hear about your poor Stan. My Susie died a few years ago and I still can't think about getting another dog. I hope you are doing better, your bench looks great.
